Description: Everyone in the Giordano family is psychic—except for Daisy. When her mother, who uses her power to solve crimes, enlists Daisy’s older sister to investigate a teenage girl’s mysterious death, Daisy feels utterly useless. But she takes matters into her own hands when she learns the victim has lots of company — teenage girls are being attacked all over town, including at Nightshade High School, where Daisy is a junior. And when she discovers a vampire may be the culprit, Daisy suspects head cheerleader Samantha Devereaux, who returned from summer break with a new “look.” She looks a little . . . well, dead.

Is looking dead just another fashion trend for pretty, popular Samantha, or is there something more sinister afoot? Daisy will stop at nothing to find out — she even joins the cheerleading squad. And with a little sleuthing help from Ryan, an old friend (who may be turning into something more), Daisy not only reveals the identity of the vamp, she also discovers powers that she never knew she had.

Review: When I saw the cover and the name of this book I fell in love. It doesn't hurt that my favorite colors are pink and black.

I was hooked after the first page. I related to the main character Daisy. Daisy is a down to earth girl. She may not be popular in her high school, but that does not matter to her. She loves who she is and doesn't have to impress anyone. She also has a crush on her best friend Ryan that just happens to be one of the top jocks in school. He is your average high school jock who plays in all the school sports, and he excels in them, and all the girls are in love with him.

Daisy is an easy character to fall in love with. She gets herself into some predicaments, and I just need to keep reading to find out how she gets out of them. She has two older sisters that has to deal. It makes things worse when they have psychic abilities along with their mother, and she is the normal out of the family. It's very hard for Daisy to deal with.

Something has happened to the cheerleaders in Nightshade High School and she joins to squad to solve the case, and she enlists her best friend Ryan to help her. I enjoyed reading the relationship between Daisy and Ryan develop throughout this book. I couldn't help going "awww".
This book is not long, but it is an entertaining quick read.
